Ms. Wong is currently working in Johnson & Johnson Malaysia as a fulltime diabetes educator. She is register with Malaysia Nursing Board since 1994, and a registered nurse with United Kingdom Council Center since 2000.
She has been awarded with Merit in her Degree in Nursing from the University of Sydney, Australia in 2009. In addition, she has a Graduate Certificate in Orthopedics Nursing, Graduate diploma in Rehab nursing- Diabetes Foot Care and recently completed her Graduate Certification for Diabetes Education with Deakin University, Melbourne in 2012.
Ms. Wong has been practicing diabetes education related activities from 1996 and remains active in diabetes education until today. She has presented in several national and regional workshops on topics such as self-monitoring of blood glucose, diabetes foot assessment, diabetes foot care, SMBG in insulin therapy and healthy eating for people with type 2 diabetes. She has been involved in the task force and as the Pro-term secretary in the set up and registering the Malaysian Diabetes Educators Society as the National registered Non-government Organization for diabetes educators. She was secretary for Malaysian Diabetes Educators Society from 2008-2014, and current committee member for the society.
